Easy Tomato Uttapam.

Preparation Time:6 t0 7 hours
Cooking Time: 10 to 20 minutes
Serves:4

Ingredients:
Urad dal-100 grams
Idli rice-300 grams
2 to 3 tomatoes cut into rings
Black pepper powder - 1 teaspoon
Refined oil 1 tablespoon
salt to taste

Preparation :
1.Soak urad dal and idli rice for 4-5 hours or overnight .
2.Grind it into a smooth paste,leave it for 1to 2 hours.Add salt in the mixture.
3.Heat oil in a flat frying pan.
4.Take 1/2 cup of idli batter in the pan , with the help of a spatula make it round shape.
5.Add round cut tomatoes into it , sprinkle black pepper powder.
6.Cover it and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.Turn it and cook from both the sides.
7.Serve hot with tomato chutney or coconut chutney.

Easy Carrot Uttapam.

Carrot- 4-5 chopped
Black pepper powder - 1 teaspoon
Refined oil 1 tablespoon
salt to taste

Preparation :

2.Grind it into a smooth paste,leave it for 1to 2 hours.Add salt in the mixture.
3.Heat oil in a flat frying pan.

5.Add chopped carrot,sprinkle pepper powder into it .
6.Cover it and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.Turn it and cook from both the sides.

Easy Sweetcorn Uttapam.


Sweet corn is becoming more and popular these days.Its taste is gaining more and more audiences.People likes its taste boiled alone or cooked with some other vegetables.Here is one famous recipe using sweetcorn .

Tomato Onion Uttapam.

 
Uttapams are one of my favorite breakfast option as it is ready in just minutes.Till the day i tasted it i included it in my home recipes.The taste of it is very different from other south Indian recipes .So many vegetables can be added into it to enhances its taste and texture.You can have it salty as well as sweet but salty one's are always preferred as it can go best with the side dishes.Below is the recipe of one famous uttapam called as onion tomato uttapam.

4.Take 1/2 cup of idli batter in the pan , with the help of a spatula make it round shape.
5.Add sliced onion and tomato ,sprinkle pepper powder into it .
6.Cover it and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.Turn it and cook from both the sides.Sprinkle black pepper powder.
7.Serve hot with tomato chutney or coconut chutney.







Homemade tandoori chicken -microwave cooking.

Every non vegetarian loves this chicken dish. It is the best starter chosen by almost all the Indians.It is quite healthy compared to the fried snacks and starters so it is preferred.In north India it is found in every single dhaba and restaurants .It is very very tasty as it cooked in tandoor.In home it is very hard to prepare as in home generally we don't find tandoori cooking easy .We can use the substitute of tandoor that is microwave to cook it .Cooking chicken in microwave is quite easy .It is also somehow easy recipe .Beginners also can give it a try and taste it .You can make it more healthy compared to the restaurants as you can control the oil and spice amount.So lets give it a try .

Preparation Time - 8 to 9 hours
Cooking time - 1 hour
Serves -4

Ingredients:
Chicken - 1 kg (cut into big pieces)
tandoori masala - 4 tbsp
curd - 300 grams
red chili powder - 1 tbsp
Juice of 1 lemon
salt to taste
1 tbsp butter

Preparations:
1.Marinate the chicken with lemon juice and salt for 10 minutes .
2.Add curd , red chili powder , tandoori masala  and refrigerate it for 8 hours.
3.Cook the chicken pieces in 400 deg F fro 30 minutes .
4.grease it with butter and grill it for 10 minutes in grill mode.
5.Serve hot with green chutney and onions.

Spicy Egg curry in desi style.

Preparation Time:-30-40 minutes
Cooking Time:-25 minutes
Serves-3

Ingredients:
Boiled eggs-4
2 big size onion- chopped
2-3 big size tomato-chopped
cumin seed (jeera)-1 teaspoon
coriander seeds-2 teaspoon
cinnamon sticks-3 to 4(dalchini)
ginger garlic paste-2 teaspoon
cumin(jeera) powder- 2 teaspoon
coriander(dhania) powder-2 teaspoon
green chili-2-4
turmeric powder- 1 teaspoon
red chili powder-1 teaspoon
Refined soyabean or rice bran oil- 2 tablespoon
Salt to taste
coriander leaves(hara dhnia) for garnishing

Preparation:
1.Take oil in a pan and shallow fry the boiled eggs for 1 minute. Remove it from oil and cut it in halves.
2.Heat another pan and dry roast chopped onion ,coriander seeds ,cumin seeds and cinnamon sticks for 2 minutes. Add green chili and make a smooth paste of it in a mixer grinder.



3.Heat the same pan used for frying eggs. Add the grinded masala into the oil and fry it for 4 to 5 minutes in slow flame.
4. Add ginger garlic paste into the masala and fry for more 4 to 5 minutes.
5.Add turmeric powder, chili powder ,coriander  and cumin powder and fry for 1 minute.
6.Add chopped tomato and fry the masala for more 5 minutes.
7.Add the egg pieces into it and mix it .Cook it for another 4 to 5 minutes.
8.Sprinkle garam masala powder and chopped coriander leaves.\
9.Serve hot with Indian bread like roti or naan or you can have it with boiled rice.
 

Sweet Paniyaram .

 
Preparation time-20 minutes
Cooking time-10-15 minutes
 
Ingredients:
Idli or dosa batter -2 to 3 cups
Salt- pinch of
Jaggery or brown sugar-1/4 cup
shredded coconut-1/2 cup
cardamom powder-1 teaspoon
 
 
Preparation:
Mix all the ingredients properly.
Take a paniyaram tawa ,heat it and coat it with oil .
Add required amount of batter in to it and cover it to cook for 3-4 minutes in low flame.
Turn it when one side is cooked .let it be for 2-3 minutes in flame .
Remove it from the pan and serve with the chatni of your choice.
 
 
 

 

Plain Malpua using milkmaid- Indian sweets

 
Preparation time - 20-30 minutes
Cooking Time- 25 minutes
Ingredients for Pua:
All purpose flour- 1 cup
2-4 tablespoon condensed milk
Milk as required
Oil for frying
Ingredients for sugar syrup:
2 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
Preparation
1.Heat oil in a flat non stick frying pan.
2.Make a smooth paste of all purpose flour ,milkmaid ,add milk and make a paste of dropping consistency.
3.By using a spoon drop the batter in flat frying pan ,make it round shape.
5.Fry from both sides till golden brown.
6.Deep the fried puas in sugar syrup and keep it for 10 minutes like that.
7.serve hot or as you want.

Sugar syrup
1.In a pan add a cup of water and two cups of sugar , make the sugar syrup and check it's consistency by dropping little of it in cold water.
 
 
 
 
 




Musk melon raita.

Preparation Time-10-30 minutes.                                                                                                           Ingredients
curd-1 cup(200 grams)
musk melon cut into your favourite shape-3/4 cup
1/2teaspoon honey
1/4 teaspoon black salt
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon roasted jeera powder
salt to taste.
coriander leaves for garnishing                                                         
 Preparation
1.Whisk the curd for 2-3 minutes.
2.Add honey, black salt and salt into it mix it well.
3.Add muskmelon peices ,roasted jeera powder and chili powder mix it properly.
4.Keep in refrigerator for 25 minutes.
5.Serve chilled with snacks ,or in lunch.

Badam aur kele ka malpua.

6.Deep the fried puas in sugar syrup and keep it for 10 minutes like that.
7.serve hot or as you want.
