Pineapple upside down cake.





 Pineapple , the sweet as well as tangy juicy taste and flavor of this fruit makes it different from all the fruits and when cake is made using this sweet and tangy flavor , again a master piece comes out .Pineapple upside down cake contains pineapple flavor with pineapple slices as toppings .In every bite you will have the mouth melting cake with juicy sugary pineapple chunks.It is quite easy to make but for beginners i will always advice not to try as little experience in baking is needed to bake it.As a beginner you can go for plain sponge cake baking  and than you can try this out.


Preparation time : 10 minutes
Baking time : 30 to 40 minutes

Ingredients:                         

tinned Pineapple slices - 6 
(you can make it in home itself by cooking the pineapple slices with sugar and water for almost 10 minutes)                              
refined wheat flour(maida) - 4 tbsp                                                  
butter - 1/4 cup
condensed milk - 1/4 cup
powdered sugar - 2 tbsp
cinnamon powder - 1pinch
nutmeg powder - 1 pinch
pineapple essence - 1 tsp
vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp
baking powder - 1 tsp
baking soda - 1/2 tsp
milk - 4 tbsp
cherries as required

Method of Preparations:
1.Melt butter in a glass bowl.
2.Mix condensed milk and powdered sugar with butter and whisk well for 5 minutes.
3.Add vanilla essence and pineapple essence and mix well.
4.Add cinnamon powder ,nutmeg powder , milk and mix it with soft hands.
3.Add refined flour little by little and (1 tbsp at a time ) and mix well till no lumps are found.
4.Add baking powder and baking soda , mix well.
5.Grease the baking tray with butter , add butter paper to the baking tray.
6.Place the pineapple slices as shown in the picture and pour the batter in to the baking tin.
7.Preheat the oven in 200 deg c for 5 minutes , put the baking tin inside the pre- heated oven and bake it for 20 - 30 minutes in 180 deg c .
8.Remove from oven and check the cake , put one tooth pick in the middle of the cake , if it comes out clean the cake is done or else bake it for another 10 minutes.
9.Let the cake cool for 5 minutes, remove it from the tin , turn upside down ,and garnish with cherries.



10. Pineapple upside down cake is ready to serve , share with family and get flooded with lots of compliments for the awesome cake. Happy baking.........


 When cake is made with eggs the cakes become more spongy but as We people always prefer egg less cakes as there are so many days in weeks when we don't have non vegetarian dishes  like monday as it's the day of lord Shiva we can't have eggs or any other non vegetarian dishes and cake is one dish we can't control ourselves to have it anytime.My aim of mentioning it is you can make it with eggs instead of condensed milk.
